About Me
I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) for Secondary Education, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in history.
I completed my student teaching at Stephen T. Mather High School. While there, I had the incredible opportunity to work with students from all over the world and gain experience in ELL classrooms. My experience at Mather inspired me to begin pursuing an ESL endorsement.
During the pandemic, I began working for Chicago Public Schools as a substitute teacher. Through my work as a substitute, I gained experience supporting classrooms of all ages from pre-k to 12th grade.
Having graduated from Chicago Public Schools, I understand the impact a teacher can have on a student’s education and schooling. It is my role and honor, as a teacher, to serve as an advocate for my students while I provide them the tools they need to satisfy their own curiosity and gain agency over their education.
